Regular Steam Running Day 23/8/26
IMPORTANT NOTICE – Sunday 23rd August
As you may have noticed, the landscape around our railway line is extremely dry and therefore very flammable.
In order to protect our environment, our customers, and our volunteers, we have made the decision to withdraw our steam services this Sunday.
So if you are visiting us this Sunday, we will be running our normal timetable, but using one of our historic diesel locomotives instead.
As part of the change we will charging our regular diesel service prices – £9 for adults, and kids for a quid! (5-15 years)
Thank you for your understanding of this matter.
Whether you’re a transport enthusiast or looking for a memorable family outing, there is nothing quite like the smell of coal smoke and the sound of a steam whistle to brighten your weekend.
🚂 The Journey
Board our vintage carriages at Moor Road for a nostalgic trip up the line to Middleton Park. Once there, you can hop off to explore the woodland trails and playground, or stay on board for the return journey through the heart of Leeds’ industrial heritage.
🛠️ The Engine House Museum
Your ticket includes entry to our modern museum. Get up close to our collection of historic industrial locomotives, learn about the local legends who built them, and see the inner workings of a real railway workshop.
☕ Refreshments & Souvenirs
-
The Station Café: Grab a hot brew, a cold drink, or a light snack before you board.
