Experience the unique sounds and smells of our diesel fleet. These locomotives are the backbone of our industrial history, and today they take centre stage, hauling our passenger coaches up the 1-mile line to Middleton Park.

🔧 Behind the Scenes: The Engine House

Your ticket grants you full access to our Engine House Museum. Discover the history of the Leeds locomotive building industry—where many of these very engines were designed and constructed—and explore our collection of rare industrial diesel shunters.

Make a Day of It

• Explore the Park: Take the train to the top of the line and enjoy a walk through the historic Middleton Park before catching a later train back.

• Refreshment Room: Stop by for a tea, coffee, and a snack at our station café.

• Souvenir Shop: Browse our selection of railway books, badges, and gifts.

Journeys leave Moor Road at 10:30, 11:10, 11:50, 12:30, 13:30, 14:10, 14:50 and 15:30. A full return trip takes approximately 25 minutes.

Your tickets are Day Rover tickets, which means you can use them on any (or all) of our scheduled journeys today.
